Halloween Weekend - Oct 31 - Nov 1

Nearby Toms River sponsors the second biggest Halloween parade in the world - NYC being the largest. Average attendance is over 100,000 people and it is well worth it. However, this year we elected to go to Borgata on the 31st and see if we have any Halloween luck. We had breakfast at our nearby diner and then we were off to AC. As always, we were excited about this trip since it was only the core 3 girls. The last few trips there were daughters, cousins and aunts that came along, kind of crimping our gambling style but made the trips enjoyable just the same.

A few months ago I noticed in my Trump Plaza mailer that Sylvia Browne would have a show at the Taj Mahal and I mentioned it to Karen. She wanted to go, so we made plans. I spoke to my host at Trump Plaza and she got me two tickets for the show. Now, if things at home would cooperate, then we could get away. I could tell that Karen could use a weekend away and I always like to gamble!

After four trips to Florida casinos this month, we could not miss out on giving a donation to our "home town" casinos in AC. This is not an AC story, but a gambling adventure for sure. On October 1, I went with my son to the local OTB branch in Toms River with $60. Planned to stay for about an hour. Planned to bet only harness horses since lately I have been doing better with those. Also, my $4,000 win several years ago was from those horses. I win small amounts for the first 45 minutes. I realize this is a PA casino but if nobody minds, here goes. We left after I got home from work about 6:30 and it takes an hour to get to the Sands. The place was not crowded at all, which is the way we both like it. I started on a Red Lions 20 in 0 out. Egypt 20 in 0 out. My husband played the same machines next to me and did the same. I am in San Francisco right now at a business symposium but I could not pass over Vegas without a little visit. Flight out of NY was smooth and went without a hitch, we were even 30 minutes early on arrival.

Had to get down to Borgata during Sept to claim my $70 slot dollars for my birthday ( its amazing what we will do for a few free slot dollars ). This was the only weekend avialable so even though I had to work Sat we made a reservation.

Went to Trop last Sunday for one night and the plan was to head to Wildwood for a few days of R&R the rest of the week. Trop was giving away three cars on Sunday.
