Room Service at Harrahs |

My "tradition" when staying in AC is to have breakfast in the room daily. I get to wear my jammies and watch cartoons while eating....yeah, I guess
I could wear jammies to the restaurants and still have more clothes on than some of the young women I see but I digress...Anyway, for those of you wanting to
try this at Harrahs, be aware that the portions are quite substantial and often enough to share. They give you the AC Press paper which is a nice touch.
I've tried most of their breakfast selections and all are delicious and arrive hot or cold as appropriate. Another tip is to order before you go to bed.
That way, it will be there when you want it and the kitchen staff told me that they appreciate the "heads up." On my most recent trip I had the
seasonal fruit plate which comes with huge portions of cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple and watermelon, 2 thick pieces of date nut bread, cream cheese on the
side. It really was enough for 2 meals so I saved the rest for the next day. Harrahs room service is far superior to Showboat's, which has been terrible
the past few times I've had it. Food arrives cold, late and there is always something missing. Last time I ordered the lox platter with a bagel. The
bagel was missing, and by the time the waitress brought it back I realized they also forgot the cream cheese and a few other things. DH's pancakes were
ice cold to the extent that the butter would not melt on them. Harrahs now includes the tip so you don't need to fumble around before you've had your
morning coffee.

Hi Paula,
Fran and I enjoy the room service at Borgata, esp at the waterclub. The food is more exp at the waterclub, they hired a well known chef just for the waterclub, but everything we have had has been great. He cooks with a lot of herbs which we like and all the muffins and pastries are homemade. You can also order the night before which we usually do. ............EdB

I love room service!! Sounds like Harrah's does a great job....esp. nice that the portions are that substantial.

Room service (especially breakfast) is usually one of my "guilty pleasures" while at Ballys, also. In all the years, we have only had a problem with
extreme lateness on one occasion -- that's a pretty good record. Their portions are huge, also, and enough to share. As Seven Stars, they always give you
a little something extra like cheesecake for lunch or dinner or a nice basket of pastries or fruit for breakfast. The only thing to complain about is that they
take their sweet old time removing the cart with plates, etc. from the hallway after we call that we're done

Room service at most of the casinos has been excellent, but that might be due to the butler/captain service that is provided with my room.

I tried to get the naked ladies to deliver but they were too busy running up and down the hallway. I have never used room service in AC. But I can vouch for
the fact that it's great at Mohegan Sun and MGM Grand in Vegas. I have used both there multiple times.

Most of our AC trips are for 1 night, so there's not too much time the next morning for room service. When we were hitting Foxwoods a lot, we did it for breakfast almost every trip, & it was always great. Never had any naked ladies delivering, but we did the best we could.----Mike |

We get room service most every trip but ours is the late, late night (try to stay awake, just try) room service. I have to say that I am running 50/50 in
general on getting everything I ordered. This includes AC and LV. I love being able to sit in the room and chill while I eat so I just pretend it is like my
local Chinese delivery and am just grateful if they show and understood half of what I said.
I do have a beef with Harrah's in particular though. They don't have freakin potato skins on the late night menu and that pissed me off to no end last trip. Jim had that suite tub filled to the brim with hot water and I was just dreamin of sitting in it and munching on some skins and had to settle for French Toast instead (yeah, don't ask what happened there). Bathtub good, french toast soggy. BTW, best way to eat skins is with fresh salsa on the top. Learned this from Paris room service in LV and I can't eat them without it now. Mmmm. Now I want some!
Some of it's magic and some of it's tragic, but I had a good life all the way
