Posts: 1 06/20/08 06:46:27	Tags : None Hey all! Love all the trip reports and have been a lurker for a longggg time! I'm originally a jersey girl but have moved back and forth to Florida a few times. I'm here in FL now but am visiting NJ in October to visit family and will have to get my Atlantic City fix! My casino's of choice are Bally's, WWW, Claridge, Hilton and Harrahs. Boy do i miss that place and i'm having gambling withdrawals! They don't have much of a variety of casinos here in FL. So in order to get my gambling fix, my options are..driving to Hard Rock in Tampa, going out on a gambling boat (Sun Cruz out of Daytona..got very sick on the boat and will not do again!), or the Sterling which is also a boat but a MUCH bigger boat out of Port Canaveral. Didn't get sick on that one, but taking those seasick pills makes me extremely tired and if i drink a beer it makes me even MORE tired. Lots of fun right! Sooooo....i'm really looking forward to my trip to AC in October... ON LAND! Nice to meet you Bruce

I have watched cars that were parked too close to the waves get flooded by the ocean. The Pompano Casino run by Isle Of Capris in the Ft Lauderdale area is really nice, my favorite Florida casino. How long has it been since you visited AC?

Posts: 138 06/20/08 12:21:46	Last time i was in AC was October of last year. My mother in law and I went for a day trip to Ballys. No big hits but was impressed with the fixing up that they've done on the boardwalk! It was really rainy the day that we were there so i wasn't able to cruise the whole strip but i was really impressed! I'm hoping I get better weather when i go this Oct so i can get out on the boardwalk and people watch. I'll have to check out the Pompano Casino one of these days. Ft Lauderdale is about 3 1/2 - 4 hours away from me. I've been to the HR in Tampa and want to go there sometime soon because they got las vegas style machines now...FINALLY! I keep telling people that they need to put some casinos up in Daytona...not only because it would be less than an hour for me to get there but it would help the economy!
