As you arrive in AC, you will immediately notice that it is no longer the AC of yesteryear. Numerous shopping outlets stretch from the new convention center all the way down to the casinos. Caesars offers 2 parking garages, so stay in the middle lane and take your pick.
Caesars and Ballys have very nice diamond lounges, with excellent views of the ocean. The Caesars newly opened spa and revamped pool area is very nice and designed as an elegant courtyard. The only problem is they place high walls which prevent you from seeing the ocean or the boardwalk. If possible, you may be able to get up on the pool upper balcony area for a view of the airshow, but if not, you will not be able to see the planes till they are directly overhead.
Outlet shopping is reasonable, but the pier is another entire level of expenditure. Mostly designer stores and unique items, like an ostrich handbag for a meager $8000.
