Last Thurs 1/15 we took a SWA flt to Las Vegas. We left on the 6 AM flight PHL-LAS. It is a non-stop flight tha gets in Vegas at 9 AM. We only paid $300 for
the two flights, because we were able to take advantage of a two day half price sale on SWA. The flight there was great, but we had to get up in the midddle
of the night to get to the airport. When we landed we got our car from Alamo and drove over to Harrahs to check-in. For some reason lately we have not had
very good luck with rooms at Harrahs. I thought this time would be different since we were so early in the day. We went to the Diamond VIP Check-in and they
told us or room would be ready in about an hour. Long story short FOUR hours later they had a room ready. By this tine we were exhasted, we went to see the
room. The room was an older room without a pillow top mattress. Nancy said she could not sleep on the bed so we asked for another room. This time we got a
renovated room in the Carnival Tower with a new pillow top. So then we went down to get our luggage. Somehow I had turned the lights on in the car when
leaving it when I thought I was turning them off. Now the battery was DEAD. I called Alamo and they said they would send someone over, but it would cost me
$49. So I just called AAA and they jumped me. By that time it was almost 5:30 and we hadn't settled in the room yet. So much for an early start.
After the lousy start we did have a good trip. On Friday we went on a nce hike with Norm at Red Rock out to hidden spring in the hills. That evning we ate at the Bellagio buffet with friends and had a great meal. Sunday night we had dinner again at Bellagio at Cico with a fountain view. This was another fantastic meal-seafood lasonia.
I did manage to win $150 in a VP touney at Ballys, they gave $50 TR card + a bottleof wine with a carrier to play.
Sunday we moved over to Wynn(2 free nights w/$200). Actually playing at Wynn was better for me than any of the other casinos I played. I got several quads, four aces, and even four duces for $250. Monday night we went out to RR for dinner with Norm and his wife.
I'm sure we will be back soon after tax season.
