Nearby Toms River sponsors the second biggest Halloween parade in the world - NYC being the largest. Average attendance is over 100,000 people and it is well
worth it. However, this year we elected to go to Borgata on the 31st and see if we have any Halloween luck. We had breakfast at our nearby diner and then we
were off to AC. We arrived at a windy Borgata at about 12:30 pm. Jill immediately went to her penny slots and i strolled down to the simultcasting to
challenge the horses. Jill played Red Baron, Hearts of Gold, Cleopatra and her favorite Suns and Moons. She did best on Red Baron and Suns and Moons. I
really had no "did best on" cause the horses were not cooperating with my bets. Jill had lots of play for those pennies but was down by about $75 by
5 pm. I did last on my money till 5 pm. We ate at the Metropolitan. Both the buffet and the Amphora Lounge were very crowded and getting even busier as
throngs of people poured into the hotel. Stevie Wonder was to perform tonight. There were also big Halloween parties at all three clubs. The food at
Metropolitan was just ok but at least we didn't have to wait forever for it to be served. We left right after dinner because the World series game was
scheduled for 8 pm. It was actually postponed till 9 pm due to rain so we didn't miss any of it.
Sunday November 1st was the annual Chiller Theatre Halloween with the stars. We arrived in the Parsippany Hilton at 1 pm and immediately went to see a Facebook friend of mine Geri Reischl - Jan Brady of the Brady Bunch Variety hour. She was expecting us and gave us a big greeting. Jill was most interested in seeing Ann Margaret who was just about to leave to board a plane. She got special permission to see her just before she left. Only Tia Carrere and Peter Fonda were in the room with her at the time. Jill talked about how she remember her in Viva Las Vegas. naturally I wore my Las Vegas shirt. After seeing Ann Margaret, we just barely caught Richard Dreyfuss as he was leaving. Another friend of mine who writes for Autograph Magazine was there also and he was interviewing the stars. I took a picture with Tia Carrere who was in True Lies and also Dancing With The Stars. Nearby was Linda Blair, Ali Macgraw, Peter Fonda, Elvira (getting a back rub) , Dawn Wells, Jon Bauman from Sha Na Na and Davy Jones from the Monkees. We left at about 3 pm and I went across the street to get the car to pick up Jill. I followed a limo and 2 motorcycles to the hotel entrance. As the cycles parked, out came Peter Fonda to check them out. Then a musician from KISS got into the limo. As Jill got into the car, Ali Macgraw passed by. Just as we were about to drive off, we hear a loud "Good Bye Bruce and Jill". It was Geri from the Brady Bunch as she was leaving also. We all had a really good time.
